Self Care skills
As we get older, it is important to learn how to take care of ourselves and learn skills to be more independent. It brings a sense of pride, boosting self-esteem and confidence. And as our children age, they will need to be able to get dressed, use buttons, zippers, tie shoes, fasten a buckle, do their own seatbelt, brush their teeth and hair, make their bed, fold clothes, tie a trash bag, or prepare a meal. Sometimes, kids need a little extra support in developing the muscle coordination it takes to do all of these tasks—whether it's through practice or gentle guidance. Engaging in these activities not only fosters independence but also hones their fine motor skills and decision-making abilities. It is so important to be able to feel useful and independent while gradually learning lifelong skills that will empower them in their day-to-day lives. Watching them grow into capable individuals brings immense joy and satisfaction to both the children and the parents.
