In our therapy sessions, we incorporate child-led play to achieve the best outcomes. By engaging children in activities they prefer, we create an environment that fosters their natural curiosity and eagerness to participate. We like to use child-preferred activities not only to bring interest and fun into our sessions but also to significantly enhance their engagement and motivation. This approach allows us to progress towards more challenging tasks in a way that feels organic and enjoyable for the child. Through this method, we can steadily build their confidence and skills, ensuring that they are not just participating but truly thriving in each session.

About the owner

Hi, I’m Kerry Taylor, an occupational therapist and the owner of San Tan Little Hands Therapy. I have been providing occupational therapy services to children throughout Arizona for more than 25 years. Over the course of my career, I have worked in a variety of settings supporting children and families with diverse needs. Creating San Tan Little Hands Therapy allows me to provide more personalized, family-centered care while better meeting the needs of the community I serve.

I am passionate about helping children develop the skills they need to participate more independently in play, school, their community, and everyday life. I believe that every child has unique strengths and potential, and I work closely with families to support meaningful progress in the areas that matter most to them. The children and families I work with are incredibly important to me, and I celebrate each child’s growth and successes with the same care, encouragement, and dedication I would want for my own child.

When I’m not working with children and families, I enjoy spending time with my family—especially if it’s somewhere near a beach. I also love being outdoors and relaxing at home with my dogs.
